Reinstatement
Dismissed CSU undergraduate students on poor academic scholarship (DPS) may apply
for reinstatement.
The applicant should work with their CSU Academic Advisor and submit all of the following:
- Written Academic Petition.
- Submit supporting documents, as appropriate.
- Official transcripts from your institution to CSU for all coursework completed since
your dismissal.
Upon approval, CSU will reinstate applicants into their previous active program. The
Academic Petitions Committee reviews students' petitions on the 15th of each month.
If seeking to appeal your dismissal resulting from extenuating or mitigating circumstances,
you must submit supporting documentation to substantiate your claim.
Please review the list of acceptable documentation and fill out the form in its entirety. Your completed petition must:
- Include a clear and concise statement of your request and why the committee should
consider approving your petition.
- Attach documentation to support your claim, as appropriate.
NOTE: All documents must be received before any action can be taken on the application for
reinstatement.
